HR Generalist

Position Overview

The HR Generalist is responsible for managing the recruitment process, employee relations, regulatory
compliance and adherence to HR and company polices and procedure, and training and development.

Years Experience:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Human Resources
  • One to three years’ experience processing payroll
  • One to three years’ experience recruiting

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study
  • HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP)

Duties/Work Performed:

  • Provide support to employees HR-related topics
  • Responsible for the recruitment process for non-exempt position
  • Create and manage onboarding plans, educating newly hired employees on company policies and
    procedures and the company culture
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management
  • Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports
  • Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Manage and report HR metrics
  • Conduct HR audits, analyze results, and offer recommendations
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Act as backup for payroll
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices
  • Perform other duties as assigned
