Senior HR Generalist

Position Overview

The Senior HR Generalist is responsible for managing the recruitment process, employee relations, regulatory compliance and adherence to HR and company polices and procedure, and training and development.

Education and Training

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field of study
  • HR Certification (PHR or SHRM-CP)

Years Experience:

  • A minimum of five years’ experience in Human Resources
  • One to three years’ experience processing payroll
  • One to three years’ experience recruiting

Skills Required:

  • Deep understanding of Labor Law and employment equity regulations
  • Efficient HR administration and people management skills
  • Excellent record-keeping skills
  • Considerable knowledge of HR functions and best practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Works comfortably under pressure and meets tight deadlines
  • Organizational and conflict management skills
  • Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail

Duties/Work Performed:

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Provide support to employees HR-related topics
  • Responsible for the recruitment process for exempt position
  • Create and manage onboarding plans, educating newly hired employees on company policies and procedures and the company culture
  • Investigate complaints brought forward by employees
  • Participate in developing organizational guidelines and procedures
  • Coordinate employee development plans and performance management
  • Manage the organization’s employee database and prepare reports
  • Produce and submit reports on general HR activity
  • Manage and report HR metrics
  • Conduct HR audits, analyze results, and offer recommendations
  • Administer compensation and benefit plans
  • Conduct exit interviews
  • Act as backup for pyroll
  • Keep up to date with the latest HR trends and best practices.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
